Our Ideal
Location
Everything You Need… Right at Your “Doorstep”
The Lili’uokalani Gardens is ideally situated on the northeastern corner of Waikiki’s commercial district. It is set back from the hustle-bustle just enough to create a serene environment within the secure fence, but still only a pleasant stoll to the beach or commercial establishments like restaurants, shopping, etc.
Also nearby is the expansive Kapiolani Park with tennis courts, exercise stations, a bandstand for free concerts, the Waikiki Shell for ticketed concerts and plenty of open grassy areas for sports and recreation. The Kapiolani Park skyline is dominated by the commanding presence of the Diamond Head crater. For those seeking to learn more about the surrounding ocean life; a visit to the aquarium is the perfect solution.
The community golf course is just across the Ala Wai Canal from the Lili’uokalani Gardens and so close, you could literally hit a ball and land it on a green from our grounds. Waikiki beach is just steps away where you can rent surfboards, get surfing lessons, ride an outrigger canoe or catch a sunset catamaran cruise.
For animal lovers and kids, the Honolulu Zoo is only a hop-skip-and-a-jump away. The zoo is also often a venue for evening concerts in the summers. Just beyond the zoo in Kapiolani park is the Kapiolani Park Bandstand which is often the site of concerts and festivals such as the Ukelele Festival and the Slack Key Guitar Festival among others.
Besides the many recreational points of interest near the Lili’uokalani Gardens, there are may facilities of a more practical if not mundane nature that make Lili’uokalani Gardens extremely convenient as well. Within about a mile and a half you have three major supermarkets, the fire station is a “stone’s throw” away. The police station is only a few blocks away.
There are health clinics only a short walk away or the highly respected Queen’s Medical Center is only 10 minutes away.
The well known and popular Ala Moana Shopping Center provides a huge range of shopping and dining options…. and it’s only a short 10 minute free bus ride away.
Ultimately if you don’t own a car, you can get by very nicely living at the Lili’uokalani Gardens.
